Michael Turtle Owner/operator
Michael, is a 2000 graduate of Staffordshire University United Kingdom, has been working within Wall Soccer Club for 8 years. Michael, who holds several coaching licenses, including a NSCAA Premier Diploma, USSF A license and an English FA coaching badge, began his club coaching in Long Island with Pro-Excel Soccer.
In 2003 he moved to Wall Soccer Club in New Jersey and has helped Wall Soccer Club become one of the biggest Club programs in New Jersey.
A native of Crosby, Liverpool in the UK, Michael is a product of The Crosby Stuart and Marine AFC youth programs, where he played semi-professional football before beginning his coaching career. Michael graduated Staffordshire University with a BA Honors degree in Sports and Business Management.
He is a Physical Education teacher and resides in Ocean, New Jersey with his wife Lizabeth and twin boys Luke and Jace.

Jonathan Schmid Trainer
Former Monmouth University 4 year starter. Helped the Hawks to one of their most successful years in program history his senior year when they 14-3-3. The Hawks were ranked as high #15 in the NSCAA polls.
Jonathan was a high school soccer standout being an All-State selection sophmore, junior, and senior year. He was a regional All-American his senior year. Played for the PA State team, regional team, and was in National Pool.
Jonathan is a native of Kingston, PA and has a brother Joseph Schmid who is a current freshman at Villanova University. Jonathan graduated from Monmouth with a degree in Marketing.
Jonathan was an asst coach at Monmouth University Men’s program for 2 years and hold his USSF coaching license.
Coaching / Training youth teams for 5 years.

Anna Decker
Anna Decker, a former Queens University of Charlotte North Carolina player joins SST with a great college soccer background. A four year starter on her team and was team MVP her freshman and junior years. Anna was a captain as a junior. She was named to the first and second team for the Carolina Conference. A 2012 graduate, Anna graduated with a degree in Communications and a minor in Elementary Education and Psychology. Anna is also an alumni of Wall High School where she was a 4 year starter. Anna holds USSF and NSCAA coaching licenses.
Edward Hayden Trainer
Ed, a former Monmouth defender, returns to New Jersey as part of the SST coaching staff after playing professionally for four years in the USL. A 2006 graduate, Ed was a starter for two seasons at Monmouth after transferring from St. Francis PA in 2003. Ed was a consistent performer at Monmouth, earning the MVP award (’04), second team All-NEC (’04), first team All-NEC (’05), and holding the team captaincy for the 2005 season.
After college Ed signed a professional contract with the Richmond Kickers of the USL Division 2. He played one season with the Kickers, playing in 11 of 22 matches and winning the USL Division 2 Championship. From the Kickers, Ed moved on to Pittsburgh and played with the Riverhounds, also of the USL Division 2. He was a three years starter there and fan favorite, winning the Riverhounds Supporter Group’s Player of the Year trophy in 2009.
Aside from playing professionally in Pittsburgh, Ed was also a staple in the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Youth Academy. He was the top trainer in a tiered academy system which utilized a partnership with Everton FC to mimic the structure and curriculum used by the English club. In his two years spent with the Riverhounds Academy, Ed also played a large role in the individual/group training, as well as the summer camps, where he would run a minimum of one a week for both respectively.
While in Pittsburgh Ed also got involved in the speed and agility training aspect of today’s athletic training, and spent a year studying under the Viper Speed and Strength Academy.
Ed currently resides in Lake Como, and likes short walks to the beach, surfing, and coaching the youth.
Evan Unger Trainer
A 2010 Monmouth University graduate, Unger played for Monmouth University in 2005 and 2006, winning a pair of Northeast Conference Regular Season titles and a league tournament crown.
Unger, a 2005 graduate of New Rochelle High School, was also a member of the Rhode Island Stingrays of the Premier Development League from 2007-09.
He is currently an Assistant Coach for the Monmouth University Men's Soccer team and holds his USSF National B License.
Andrew Giallombardo Trainer
Andrew joins the SST staff this Fall and will be working with Old Bridge Soccer Club. Since the age of 15, Andrew has had significant experience with the United States Men’s National Team program including having been accepted into the Residency Program in 2004. In 2006, at the age of 17, Andrew signed a two-year professional contract with Southampton FC, in England. In his first season (2006) and while technically a member of the u18 team, he also trained and played with the reserve squad. In his second season, as a regular member of the Reserves, he also trained daily with the first team. Andrew is a USSF Licensed Coach and this Winter will be completing his first NSCAA Badge. He lives in Manalapan, New Jersey and supports Arsenal Football Club. Check Andrew out with the U17's on the link below!! Nicole CanningTrainer
Nicole is a recent graduate of St. John’s University where she studied biology. While at St. John’s, Nicole helped her team to four consecutive Big East Tournament appearances and the program’s first ever NCAA Tournament berth in 2009. In her senior season, Nicole received the NSCA All-American Athlete of the Year Award. Nicole was a four year Varsity starter at St. Rose High School where she was named to the All-Division and All-Conference Teams her junior and senior years. She also played for the NJ ODP State Team, the New Jersey Wildcats, and the New York Athletic Club in the W-League. Nicole currently holds a USSF Licensed coach, and has been training youth soccer players with GoosSports USA for 5 years.
Tommy Gray Director of Coaching
Tommy Gray joins the SST staff from the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Tommy returns to New Jersey having spent 3 successful years in Pittsburgh as a regular starter. Tommy signed in 2009 after initially being drafted by Kansas City of the MLS. Tommy also went to college in New Jersey starting every game as a Freshman at Rutgers University before moving to Monmouth University where he spent 3 very successful years. He earned 1st and 2nd team All-NEC honors as well as 2006 NSCAA/Adidas Division I All-North Atlantic Region First Team, leading the nation in total assists. Tommy was also added to the 2007 men’s MAC Herman Trophy watch list. While he was at Monmouth he won 3 NEC regular season Titles. Tommy has been a USSF Licensed coach for over 8 years and is pursuing his NSCAA Licenses this coming winter. Tommy is a Barcelona supporter, he enjoys surfing, skateboarding and Yoga. He resides in Middletown, NJ.
Dan Bostock Trainer
Former Monmouth University Defender , a 2-year captain who led the team to their most successful season in 2009 with a 18-2-2 record. The hawks were ranked as high as 5th in the NSCAA National Rankings and finished the season as the 13th ranked team in the country.
While at Monmouth Bostock was a NEC defensive player of the year and ECAC defensive player of the year, while also being named an NSCAA ALL American. In 2009 the Hawks backline posted 14 shutouts, and conceded only 10 goals in 22 matches. Bostock was also named as an ESPN Academic All-American.
A native of Nottinghamshire, England. Bostock played for Sheffield United FC, Notts County FC, and Matlock Town FC.
Bostock graduated from Monmouth in May 2010 with a Bachelors degree in Communication, And has recently joined the coaching staff at Monmouth as an assistant along with head coach Robert McCourt and assistant coach Hugh McDonald.
Dan holds several FA Coaching Licences and is a USSF Licensed Coach.

England native youth player at Scunthorpe United and semi pro at Lincoln United. Played in 2 FA youth Cup 2003, 2004. Came to America as a Saginaw Valley State University. Played 2 years all conference player finished 7h in the nation for assists per game in senior year. Defensive player of the year. All 2009 England national youth trainee winter 2009

Matt Friel Trainer
Matt Friel is an Assistant Coach at Saint Peter’s College after serving as an assistant at NJIT in 2009-10.
He was also an assistant at Monmouth from 2004-2008. While at Monmouth the Hawks were NEC champs three times and made the NCAAs in 2006.
Friel played at Rutgers from 1996-99. The Scarlet Knights made the NCAA Tournament three times and won the Big East Championship in 1997.
He Played USL for four years after college, winning two national league championships with the NJ Stallions and Carolina Dynamo.
He most recently played in New Zealand in 2008 and 2009 winning the NZFC League and Oceania Cup in 2009 for Auckland City FC.
Matt is currently working with the Middletown Explosion White.
Anthony Battaglia Trainer
4 year standout Varsity player at Ocean Township High school, graduated in 1998.
2 year New Jersey State ODP player.
Competed in U19 National Championships with Princeton Union Club Team.
4 year player at St. Bonaventure University which competes in the Atlantic
10 Conference, Co-Captain Sr. year.
Played in California for the San Diego Gauchos USL team for the 2003-2004 season.
Played for the New Jersey Stallions out of Clifton NJ for the 2004-2005 season.
Anthony has been coaching/training in NJ for the last 11 years.
Ryan Morris Trainer
Ryan played in several select travel teams throughout New Jersey
including 3 years with Super Y League team Jersey Shore Boca which he played for the U19 team as a 16 year old.
He was recruited to several colleges where deciding to go to East Stroudsburg University. While studying to be a teacher, he decided to leave the playing field and become a coach. He started by receiving a USSF "F" license working up to a "National D" license with aspirations of continuing to a USSF A license. Ryan has recently been volunteer coaching the boys team at Manalapan High School, helping them make the state tournament last season. He has also done training in other elite soccer programs before arriving as a part of Soccer Specific Training.
Phil Woolley Head of Operations SST Greater Toronto Area
Phil calls many places home in the UK including London, Sunderland and Kent and has an obvious passion for the beautiful game.
Playing at County level (Provincial) in the UK and being part of the Gillingham FC youth team before being plagued with reoccurring injuries that would see him have to take an extended period away from the game.
Since moving to Canada over 10 years ago Phil has enjoyed soccer at the Toronto Supra's within the CPSL.
Phil has coached women's and junior soccer teams across the GTA and holds certifications from the Ontario Soccer Association with plans to acquire his national license within this year, this coupled with NSCAA and USSF accolades, Phil continues to strive to achieve higher level certification and knowledge year after year.
Danny Cummings JNR
Dan Cummings has been on the SST staff for 2 years, he previously coached.
St. Rose Grammar school for three years. He has worked with Neptune, Wall and Old Bridge Soccer Clubs. Dan has completed several NSCAA licenses and has been a USSF Licensed coach for over 4 years. He is a keen Liverpool supporter and still enjoys playing at a high level. He resides in Wall Township.
Dane Hodge
Dane, a former Carson Newman University player joins the SST staff after a successful spell with Pennisula Soccer Club. Dane attended Brookdale Community College were was also named a Top 5 Player in the Region. He then went on to represent Carson Newman University. Dane played for Reading Rage in the PDL and as a starting Centre Back they reached the final 4 in his first season. Dane returned to Brookdale as Assistant coach to the Mens program for 4 years. They achieved a National ranking each of those years. Dane is now Monmouth Womens Club Head Coach and has been in this position for 2 years.
Dane is certified both with the USSF and NSCAA. Dane is a big Arsenal fan and in his free time plays for Boca in the Men Garden State Semi-Professional League. He resides in Long Branch NJ with his partner Nicole.
