The Wall Cosmos U10 boys soccer team under the guidance of head coach Mike Penkethman and Lead Trainer Mike Turtle (SST) finished up an extremely successful Fall 2011 campaign. The team played in (MOSA) Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association and finished league play 8-1-1 placing them first in the Premier Division. The boys also competed in two MAPS level tournaments. The first was the NJSA Labor Day Tournament where the Cosmos finished 3-0-1 including a 6-0 victory over NJSA Silver and a 2-2 tie with Match Fit. The second was the MAPS Fall Challenge where the boys again secured 3 victories on their way to a 3-1 record and third place finish with their victory over the NJ Dynamo. The Cosmos overall Fall 2011 record including league play and tournaments was 18-2-2. The Cosmos scored 62 goals while only giving up 15 including 11 shutouts. SST Trained Wall Piranhas U14 Girls finished out their Falls season with a strong performance at the 2011 MAPS Fall Challenge in Fort Dix, NJ. In their fifth game of the weekend the Piranhas defeated visiting Maine State Champions Velosity Soccer Club in the finals to win the Premier Flight and capture their FOURTH tournament title of the year! (FC Delco, JAGS, Marlton) Great Job Coach Dan and Coach Tom!!!  

Former SST Student Arianna Foreman making the headlines again!!! WINTER PARK, Fla. – Saint Leo forward Ari Foreman has been tabbed as the Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week after her two-goal performance at Barry on Saturday afternoon, league officials announced Monday. The Tinton Falls, N.J. native scored both of the Lions' goals to keep the squad's SSC regular season title hopes alive, lifting the Green and Gold to a 2-1 victory on the road against the Bucs.  Foreman scored the first goal just four minutes into the contest, and then blasted the game-winner in the 29th minute to help the Lions stay undefeated against conference opponents. Led by Coach Mark Levy Manasquan Warriors won the C-Central Division title their 1st title since 1987! Manasquan had an overall record of 6-4-3 and a conference record of 6-1-3. Both Michael Turtle and Andrew Giallombardo were lucky enough to work with the Boys in there SST Pre-Season Camp this year. Congratulations to the boys and great job to Coaches Mark Levy,Kirt Wahl, Brandon Sierchio and Tom McGill!!!  

After a slow start Saturday morning against Neptune, the Sting rebounded in the afternoon with a convincing 3-0 win against a solid squad from Ridgewood's Maroon Soccer Club.  Second-half goals by Jake Connellan and Luke Grasso and solid defense sealed the win and set up the team for a "must-win" game on Sunday morning against a tough team from Rancocas Valley to advance to the final. A strong effort Sunday morning resulted in a dominant 5 to 1 win over Rancocas Valley sending the Sting, who is trained by Coach Turtle, to the final against a very skilled and talented regional team from Toms River.  A first-half goal by Johnny Volpe off an indirect kick put the Sting up at half.  A cross by Volpe and one-time finish by Matt Tracy in the second half proved to be the game winner as the Sting went on in exciting fashion to take the championship 2 to 1.  Outstanding goal keeping by Eric Wnorowski, rock-solid defense and an overall dominant performance by the boys ended with a championship in the team's first tournament.
